Bayside childcare respectfully acknowledges the traditional owners, the Bunurong people, as the custodians of this land. We pay respect to all Aboriginal community Elders, past and present, who have resided in the area and have been an integral part of the history of the region.
Bayside Childcare is a unique small 24 place centre in Frankston, Victoria, where Educators still take the time to get to know your child and your family.
Our home-based setting provides a warm and welcoming environment where every child can feel safe, valued and loved. We provide long day care for children from young as 6 weeks to 5 years.

Joeys ( 6 weeks to 18 months)
In our baby room the children begin to gain independence through the development of self-help skills such as moving on their own and feeding themselves. They learn language skills through books, songs and nursery rhymes. They begin to learn social skills such as communication, sharing and side-by-side play. They also enjoy playing with age-appropriate toys, exploring the indoor and outdoor environment, making artwork and engaging in a variety of other learning experiences. As they grow older they begin orientation for the Kangas room.
Kangas ( 2 years-3 years)
Our 2-3 year old program provides age-appropriate learning experiences that meet each child at their current level of development and promote optimal growth. Children begin to learn how to play cooperatively with their peers, explore and investigate the world around them, learn more about themselves and others, and engage with fun educational materials. The children develop a sense of agency as they make choices about their play and learn responsibility for themselves, their belongings and their actions.
Koalas ( 3 years and over)
Our Kinder program is designed to equip children with the skills they will need to be successful at school next year. Through a variety of educational activities the children develop their abilities and understanding in the areas of social interaction, emotional management, language, literacy and numeracy. Throughout the day children engage in individual tasks, cooperative play and group activities. Learning experiences are tailored to children’s individual needs and interests to promote engagement and optimal learning and development. Activities at Bayside include – Music, Science, Hey Dee Ho, Art, Cooking and Drama to name few.

Joeys
( 6 weeks to 18 months )
This has a capacity for 8 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 2 years old. The children participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities including music, art and play experiences.
Kangas
( 18 months to 36 months)
This caters for up to 7 children aged 2-3 years. The children enjoy a variety of play-based learning activities and group time experiences.
Koalas
( 3 years and above)
This has a capacity for 11 children. The available learning experiences are rotated regularly based on the children’s interests and learning goals. Some permanent fixtures include the book corner, the block corner, the home corner and a table of interest.
My daughters have had the best care since going to this centre. The staff is caring, understanding , they listen and also they always do the best they can for families. Karen, the director, does a stellar job at all levels, in my opinion, and gives the best advices, and a shoutout to Prue, Nisha and the rest of the carers. Phenomenal work! Doing their very best . More importantly, my daughters feel safe and love being there, and I think they are up for a fun adventure. I recommend this centre and give a 10/10.

I am so pleased with the experience I have had sending my daughter to Bayside. From the very first day we have been made to feel very comfortable and happy with our choice. She is greeted every single day with warmth and excitement and we know that she is being catered to as an individual rather than a number. This is a wonderful gem of a daycare centre where the staff have formed a wonderful bond with our daughter. They run a very homey environment where the kids are obviously very comfortable and my daughter’s development has gone in leaps and bounds since she started going there. The staff are very responsive and considerate and when a special circumstance arose they immediately pivoted to meet her needs.
I’ve had such an amazing experience with this centre. A family run business that actually cares about the children. The staff are all so beautiful and so caring. As the Centre only takes a smaller amount of children, you don’t have overcrowded rooms where your child won’t get the care they actually deserve. Karen the director, went above and beyond my expectations. Fantastic communication and nothing was too much trouble. All of the staff loved our girls as if they were their own.
